saturated with EVs in our drives, you will be forced to take higher mileage and aged units. Hopefully you will do so wisely. Strategize the types of high mileage makes, models and repairs you are willing to perform. Also give your teams the NO GO situations ahead of time as much as possible. I recommend that anything over a certain mileage have a SIGNATURE MANDATORY high mileage waiver signed BEFORE starting any work. I also advocate utilizing word tracks in the drive that mitigate customer distress during write up. This is a perfect time to build the relationship with the customer. Emphasize that you will inspect the vehicle first and relay the inspection results to the customer in ORDER OF IMPORTANCE. Inquire how long they will most likely keep the vehicle. By acquiring this information you will be able to best advise the customer on what services can wait and emphasize what services should NOT wait. These and other strategies are NEVER too early to start on in your quest to successfully surf the coming EV Wave! I hope this has provoked your thought process to take action!
