humble opinion-that's crazy. Some forward-thinking dealerships are taking a new look at this practice. They are reviewing this nagging problem and giving serious consideration to what dealerships have done for decades in Europe: providing the tools for their Technicians instead of having them bring their own tools into the dealerships' service bays. A PARADIGM SHIFT In the aviation industry there are many Airlines, like American Airlines and Alaska Airlines, where aircraft repair Technicians are supplied their tools by the employer. Think about that for a second. It would be a bit of a paradigm shift to the auto dealer world, at least in the United States. In any other line of work, all the " tools " needed for your job are typically provided by the employer. If you begin a job in accounting there's a computer and monitor waiting for you at your desk.
